Tempietto Spada

The Tempietto, not far from Villa Spada, is now one of the most beautiful panoramic spots in the area, just a few minutes’ walk from the Barchessa.

An elegant circular structure with six columns topped with Corinthian capitals and a statue of the Madonna in the centre, it was seriously damaged and collapsed shortly afterwards during a violent storm.

The temple was rebuilt in 1992 and donated to the municipality by Dr Nicolò Spada and Mrs Raffaella Augugliaro.
