Also known as the ‘House of the Agosti Counts’, the memorial is the site of a brutal massacre that took place at dawn on 14 October 1944, when four young partisans were killed in the barn that can still be seen today.
They were the brothers and counts Giuseppe (nom de guerre ‘Claudio’) and Gino (‘Tiberio’) Agosti of Mareno di Piave, Claudio Dal Bo (‘Bianco’) and Gianni De Polo (“Nino”) of Vittorio Veneto, all members of the ‘Piave’ Brigade.
A place steeped in history and memory, where the courageous spirits of the partisans emerge from the shadows of the past. It can be visited by following the Molino Crevada 017 trail.
